  • The First Computer

    Invented by Charles Babbage in 1822, the first computer later encouraged the internet to be invented.
  • The Telegraph

    Samuel Morse invented the telegraph, which allowed messages to be delivered faster and farther than a horse or rider could carry. Although the messages were short they were a revolutionary way to convey news and information.
  • The Telephone

    Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone and completed the first sentence over call. It was the famous, "Mr. Watson, come here, I want you."
  • Pneumatic Post

    William Murdoch invented the pneumatic posting tubes. These are used at drive through banks now, but were used to send letters quickly between recipients.
  • The Radio

    Italian inventor Guglielmo Morcani invented, sent, and recieved the first radio signal. Now they are used for listening to music and communication.
  • The Internet

    J.C.R. Licklider proposed the idea of the internet. The first workable prototype came into the world in the late 1960s.
  • FaceBook, MySpace, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter

    Social media sites built in the early 2000s for teens and adults to communication share things to the public.
  • Instagram

    Kevin Systrom signed into hid Apple App Store control panel. With a click, Instagram, the photo-sharing app he created, was opened to the world.
  • Snapchat

    Evan Spiegel created the photo-sharing social network. Spiegel once turned down a $3 billion offer from Facebook. Facebook wanted to buy Snapchat because more people liked Snapchat and Facebook was losing many teen users. Everyone liked Snapchat better because photos delete themselves after a short amount of time.
