  • Diving into the one-word stage!

    Diving into the one-word stage!
I was just 4 months old when I spoke my first words, "line one" at the bank with my mom. During this time I only repeated what the bank teller said, but my outburst of coherent language showed that I was in the one-word stage of language development because I was able to convey my needs in one-word phrases. In this picture I tell my dad, "up" so that he will lift me up.

Chess requires the understanding of conservation and valuation of the pieces. Since I was so good at chess, I showed a competence for the idea of conservation, thus I was in Piaget's concrete operational stage of cognitive development.
