    During this era, there were mass-produced printed materials, this led to resistance to authority, new socioeconomic classes, spread literacy, and gave focus to individualism. Printed materials gave way to more education and allowed for massive changes to come

    In Europe and America, the rise of the industry changed every day of the regular person. Factories started replacing farms as the main work center and force. During the 1880s, roughly 80% of Americans lived on farms, by the 1920s and 30s most people had moved to more urban areas for work and opportunities.

    The arrival of television, and later on the arrival of cutting-edge communication gadgetry such as personal computers, cable TVs a, emails, DVDs, DVRs, cellphones and many others

    The invention of Facebook helped spread the love of social media, leading to the invention of Instagram, snap chat, and other platforms
  • Trayvon Martin Acquittal

    George Zimmerman was acquitted of the shooting of Trayvon Martin case, which inspired the Black Lives Movement. The organization built a massive online presence and brought social activism to the web.
  • The Me too Movement

    I used one of the most current examples but a big change in our media is how social media and traditional media collide, a big example is the Me Too Movement, dozens of famous women exposing sexual harassment and rape through social media in solidarity and then traditional media bringing it into an even larger platform. Movements like these help integrate social media and the real world together.
