September 30th, Mao was elected to be chairman of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist party. Three communists and three non communists were elected at this time. This was a major dictation in decisions made. -

Hong Kong had a plan that lasted about three years, prior to the new five year plan construced in 1953. It's intentions were to mend the Chinese economy. After the three year plan was finished, the five year plan took planning the year of 1952. Very soon in 1953 it was put into action. -

China Signs Landmark Trade Agreement
The agreement was signed with China and among ten other south-east Asian countries. It intended create a "trade free zone" in which 25 percent of the population would be apart of.
