The May Fourth Movement
The May Fourth Movement was a reformist movement that was initiated mainly by university students, who were angry at China’s treatment by Western powers after World War I. They problem principally was with the passing of German imperial interests in Shandong province to the Japanese. The May Fourth Movement was anti-imperialist and demanded the restoration of Chinese independence and sovereignty. -

Basically, the First United Front was the alliance between the CCP and the GMD, this alliance was to end with warlordism. -
Northern Expedition
Also known as the "Chinese Nationalist Party" it was a military campaign to reunify China. The Chinese Nationalist Army fought against warlord forces from Guangzhou to the Yangtze River. -
Purification Movement
During this movement there were multiple massacres of a lot of communists and peasants. -
White Terror
Jiang decided to expelled all the communists from the GMD. This caused a big trouble in Shangai that its known as the "White Terror".
