The Day The Music Died
Buddy Holly along with Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper (J.P Richardson), all died in a plane crash on February 3, 1959. This was known as "The Day The Music died." People say that the plane crashed due to an inexperienced 21 year old plane driver and the weather. Later Don McLean made a song "The day the music died" as a tribute to the three rock legends that will always be remembered. -
Events That Led Up To His Death
Unfortunately Buddy Holly had a very un-timely death, along with Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. All three of them were on tour together when there bus heating system had had a malfunction. Due to that, Holly ordered a plane and supposed to go on with him was, Waylon Jennings, who lost to a coin toss to Ritchie Valens but in reality he won, and Dion, who thought the plane ticket being 36 dollars, was to expensive.
