  • Beginnings (prenatal development & birth)

Conception occured around August 5, 1977 with a due date of
April 28, 1978. Prenatal development was going well until March 21, 1978 when I arrived by c-section due to reasons unknown.
  • First two years (biosocial, cognitive, psychosocial)

During the first two years my growth and body was not developing at the normal rate of an average child my age. I was underweight and very sick all of the time. I had developed asthma and was in and out of the hospital often. I was a very slow learner and I didn't start to walk until I was almost 2 years of age. My psychosocial skills we're still developing.
  • Early childhood (ages 3-8)

Between the ages of 3 and I was still in and out of the hospital due to asthma. My weight, height, and growth was beginning to be on point. My cognitive skills we're beginning catch up with my age. I was learning new things and was able to retain the things that I'd learned. My psychosocial skills we're developing and I was developing my own identity.
  • Middle childhood (ages 9-11)

By age 9 my asthma was under control with no more hospitalizations. I was learning at the average rate, socializing with other kids and making new friend.
  • Adolescence (12-18)

between the ages 0f 12-18 I was doing well in school. I was a social butterfly with a lot of friends. I was very active in school. I joined clubs and participated in sports. By the age of 16 I got my drivers license and my first job. I was very excited about being able to make my own money. I graduated at the age of 18
  • Adulthood (age 18)

I graduated from high school and on to adulthood. Continued to work and have fun.
  • Adulthood (ages 21-23)

By the I was 21, I was working two jobs while going to school. I had bought my first brand new car and moved into my own apartment. My biosocial, cognitive and phychosocial skills we're on point.
  • Adulthood (age 24)

I got married and gave birth to my first child before the year was out. It was a very interesting year.
  • Adulthood (ages 25-28)

I was still adjusting to married life and parenthood. I did not spend much time hanging out with friends. I was a "stay at home" mom because my child was born at 23 weeks. He was very sick and was always in the hospital, so that's where I spent most of my time. Over the years I was learning how to deal with his developmental delays. My father passed away and it was very hard for me. These years we're very challenging for me.
  • Adulthood (age 28)

I was expecting another child. I was very excited!
  • Adulthood (ages 29-33)

I continued to be a "stay at home" mom to my two kids. I was still dealing with having a child with a disability. I enjoyed teaching him new things. I was beginning to have a social life again. My husband and I took a vacation for the first time. It was great.
  • Adulthood (agesv34-38)

My kids we're getting older so I started taking classes part-time. I started volunteering at my sons school and I really enjoy it. Pursuing my goal that I had put to the side.
  • Adulthood (age 40)

Finally graduated from college! Starting a new career and enjoying life.
  • Adulthood (age 100)

My life comes to an end. I die at the age of 100 from natural causes. I had choldren, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. I lived life to the fullest.
