  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    This battle was known to set the Revolutionary War off. The shot heard around the world, that will go down in history. The British were sent to confiscate the weapons from the colonists, but in attempt they were fired upon, and 700 Brits died. Setting the colonists ahead, and winning their first battle against the English.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    This battle was the second battle of the War, the british marched from boston to Bunker Hill and over 2,000 british troops were deployed. While there were 1,000 colonists waiting, the colonists ending up losing horribly. British lost more soldiers, which gave the colonist a confidence boost.
  • Battle of Fort Ticonderoga

    Battle of Fort Ticonderoga
    Small troops of the colonists led by Colonel Benedict Arnold captured and looted Fort Ticonderoga. Nearby Fort was also captured and looted aswell. Although the victory was small it affected the British very highly because it was their communication from the north to the south.
  • Battle of Trenton

    This battle was fought in the morning, led by General Washington, over 2,000 colonists were led, and crushed the british. The americans attacked in a small town where the british were stationed. More hessians captured than killed or injured.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    Battle of Saratoga
    This battle actually lasted 18 days, and two separate battles were fought in this time. British General John Eurogeyne won a small victory over the colonists. They decided to attack again, but lost and fled. 10 days later they were captured and admitted defeat.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    A victory over the british by american and french troops led by General George Washington. Over 5,000 french troops landed in Rhode Island to assist the battle against the British. This would be the last major battle in the Revolutionary War. They closed in on the British and the battle lasted almost 2 weeks.
