  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    The Battles of Lexington and Concord started at April 19th, 1775, in Massachusetts. The British were in search of weapons and ammunition at Concord so the Patriots won't have anything to fight the British. The British outnumbered the patriots, but the patriots won the fight. This is just the beginning of the American Revolution.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    On June 17, 1775, The British was attacking Bunker Hill as the colonists had it in possession. The British charged the hill three times as the colonists stood their ground, but the colonists ran out of ammo and the British won the battle.
  • Battle of Long Island

    On August 27, 1776, the British moved against the American Continental Army. The battle was part of British operation to conquer New York and to isolate New England from the other colonies.
  • Battle of Trenton

    The Battle of Trenton was General Washington attacking Trenton with General Nathaniel Greene and General John Sullivan against 1,400 Hessians. The Hessians quickly surrendered and the Americans won the battle.
  • Fort Ticonderoga

    On May 10, 1775, Benedict Arnold joined Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys to capture Fort Ticonderoga, where a British garrison was. They won, and it was the first win in the American Revolution. Though it was small, Fort Ticonderoga stored a lot of artillery that the Continental Army needed.
  • Battle of Saratoga

    In September 19th, 1777, the battle of Saratoga took place. This was a major turning point in the American Revolution as they won the battle. With that win, they convinced French to help out and had a major confidence boost for the colonists.
  • Battle of Monomouth

    In the Battle of Monomouth, the Americans won! There was 109 dead and 161 wounded American soldiers, but the British had 207 dead, and 171 wounded redcoats.
  • Battle at Cowpens

    On January 17, 1781, the Battle at Cowpens happened. The Continental Army decide to split up so it would be harder for the British. The British won, but about 800 British troops were killed or captured.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    This was the last major battle in the American Revolution. Also, this battle had Charles Cornwallis, a British Army officer, surrender to George Washington's troops.
