    Battles at Lexington and Concord
    This battle ignited the start of the American Revolution. The first shots that were fired ignited a bloody battle between the American colonists and the Redcoats. The Americans pushed back the British to Boston. Paul Revere and Samuel Adams were important figures for the colonists. This battle sent a message to the British in which the colonists wouldn't back down without a fight. The battle let the British know that the colonists wouldn't let a foreign group of people take over their land.

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The British attempted to destroy the rest of the colonists that were stationed at Bunker Hill. The colonists were able to hold off the attack and inflict heavy casualties on the British, despite the Redcoats winning the battle. Samuel Prescott, John Pitcairn, and General Willam Howe were important leaders during the battle.This battle sent a message to the Redcoats telling them that the colonists wouldn't go down without a fight, and although they lost the battle, the British lost many soldiers.

    This battle fought, fought on Christmas Day, was led by American General George Washington in which he led an assault on a British camp in Trenton, New Jersey. His soldiers traveled by boat, and crossed the Delaware River in hopes of picking off the British one by one. The colonists ended up winning the battle and this battle shaped the war by giving the American colonists confidence and faith in which they could trust in their leaders and regroup to win the war as a united country.

    Battle of Princeton
    The Hessian army retreated back to Princeton, New Jersey, andAmerican general, George Washington, and his soldiers marched north from Trenton and crushed the remaining British soldiers in NJ. This American victory proved to be costly for the British as they lost over 300 soldiers during the battle. American George Washington and British general Lord Cornwallis led their countries in battle and this battle proved to be the turning point for the Americans as they crushed the British soldiers.

    Battle of Saratoga
    This was an 18 day battle in which the colonists came out on top. This American victory allowed the American colonists to ally with the French, in which they could defeat the Redcoats together. With the French as their ally, they can take British territory one by one. Important figures included British general Sir William Howe, American Horatio Gates, and John Burgoyne. This battle shaped the War by the American colonists crushing and finishing the rest of the British troops.

    Battle of Charlestown
    This was the most costly battle for the British army as the American colonists crushed the Redcoats at Charlestown. This was the last major battle of the war, and it was crucial because the British had lost their manpower and all of their supplies as the Americans won the battle.The important figures included George Washington,British General Henry Clinton, and Maj.Patrick Ferguson. This major battle came as a blow to the British as they lost too many soldiers to continue fighting the colonists.
