Shanabad starts working on taj mahal and it take over ten years to build -

Records indicate that the construction of taj mahal was almost complete. Decorative work continued. The gold was replaced 3 years later with pearl -
1657 A.D
Taj Mahal is complete.
Shanabad is now sick. Fighting For his throne. -
1666 A.D
Shanabad dies at the age of 72. Arag denies funeral of Shanabad. His body is taken to the Taj Mahal on a boat through the a river. He is put to rest with his wife Mumtaz Mahal. -
1658 A.D
Araj imprisons his father Shanabad and his daughter in the Agra fort. Araj becomes ruler. Shanabad looks at Taj from the fort in his confinement -
1707 A.D-1857 A.D
The Taj Mahal was possibly attacked many times by different rulers if reports are believed. It is said that a sheet of pearls was stolen in 1720 and two silver doors were stolen in 1764 by Suraj Mahal. -
1857 A.D
First war of Independence during which Taj Mahal was desecrated by soldiers who said they stole stones and gems. -
1900-1908
Lord Curzon, Ruler of India orders a restoration of the Taj Mahal. A large lamp still hanging in the interior chambers was installed. The front gardens acquired a British look.
