    Granted all women the right to vote. Before the 19th only men could vote for in presidential elections. More than 26 million women got their citizenship affirmed.

    The first radio station ever was KDKA out of Pittsburgh. It first aired on November 8, 1920. People loved the radio and it became very popular in all homes.
  • First Miss America pageant

    First Miss America pageant
    First pageant was held in Atlantic City. It included 7 representatives from different cities and Atlantic City. Sixteen year-old Margaret Gorman from Washington, DC won the first competition.

    Some members of the Harding Administration used their positions to sell government jobs, pardons, and protection from prosecution. After Harding died on August 2, 1923 news of the Forbes scandal broke. The most famous scandal was known as the Teapot Dome.

    One of the bloodiest days in mob history in Chicago. Said to have been lead by Al Capone. The leader of the Italian mob, a total of 7 men were murdered.

    He was the 31st pesident of the US. He was a strong supporter of the Prohibition, which is why many people did not vote for him in gthe 1932 election. He tried to combat the Great Depression by creating new work projects, such as the Hoover Dam.
