    The League of Nations is Formed
    This was the world's first international security organization. This was founded as a result of the Paris Peace Conference that ended World War 1. This organization was created to provide gatherings so that countries can resolve international disputes between one another. The United States opted to not join the League of Nations, whereas Germany and Soviet Russia were not admitted to join. I believe that this event is significant because it was a good way to solve disputes peacefully.

    Fascism in Italy
    Benito Mussolini was Italy's prime minister but soon thereafter became dictator because he became a huge component of fascism. Mussolini allied himself with Adolf Hitler. He believed he should live as a modern day Caesar to rebuild the Roman Empire. Mussolini was a major part in making Italy the dominant country in the Mediterranean-Red Sea region. Mussolini had a "thirst for military glory". This event is significant because Mussolini was a major military leader who built a strong military.

    Worked under Vladimir Lenin as the General Secretary of the Communist Party. After Lenin's death he became the Soviet dictator. Stalin seized land and turned them into collective farms.Many peasants died due to forced labor and starvation from the imminent famine. Stalin initiated rapid industrialization which was a success at first, but millions of lives were lost and there was significant environmental damage. This event is important because he was a communist but became consumed with power.

    The Great Depression was an economic downfall In the United States. It all started with a drastic collapse of stock market prices in the New York Stock Exchange. Many banks were forced into bankruptcy. The Great Depression evolved from only the United States to an international Great Depression. Countries imposed tariffs and raised current ones.. President Roosevelt introduced major changes of the American Economy. This is important because this affected essentially everyone in the world.

    The Third Reich Takes Over
    The Third Reich was otherwise known as the Nazi Regime. Hitler became able to decree further legislation without parliament's consent. The Nazi Regime took complete control of economy, education, and law. In the course of 6 months all other political parties were dissolved. To persuade people to join the Third Reich the Nazis used extensive propaganda. Hitler had the final say in domestic legislation and foreign policy. This event is important because it led to the next few years of terror.

    Spanish Civil War
    Right-Wing Spanish Military Officers revolted in Spanish Morocco and spread to mainland Spain. They want to overthrow Spain's leftist Republican government. King Alfonso XIII chose to change from a monarchy to a liberal republic. It was feared that the liberal government would start to slowly follow the Marxist Revolution. Nationalists drove to the Mediterranean sea and cut the Republican territory into 2 parts. This was significant because it shaped the way Spain's government is run today.
