    The imperial war between Great Britain and France. The British doubled their debts after the war and they wanted the colonies to help to defray those debts. Therefore, they started taxing and enforcing imperial power in the colonies

    It prohibited colonists from moving west of Mississippi. It limited the amount of land that's available to colonists, which brought problems to late arrival immigrants

    Declaratory Act was passed soon after the repeal of the Stamp Act. the Parliament affirm its power to legislate for the colonies "in all cases whatsoever" They intentionally blurred in "whatsoeever" to justify their rights on taxtation.

    A serial of external act imposed on American colonist since they "only object to" internal tax. It reignited the anger in colonies against Parliament, because Stamp Act, a victory for colonists, was peeled a year ago.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    Sreet fight between armed British soldiers and "mobs". Servel colonists were killed and wounded. The colonists used this as propaganda to prove the brutality of the British Parliament. This event helped to unite the colonies against Britain.
  • Gaspee Affair

    Rhode Island citizens burned down British custom's ship at night as a form of protest against British custom laws. Their behavior triggered British Parliament and Massachusetts citizens got punished with the intolerable act.

    Colonist dumped British tea into the Boston Harbor. Their behavior was viewed as a form of rebellion, therefore triggered the Parliament who came up a punishment in form of the Intolerable Acts

    It a result of Boston Tea Party. The Parliament decided to punish Bostonians, by shutting down their port, giving the governor more power, and passing quartering act. The colonists felt that their rights were violated by the legislation.

    Boycott British goods and confirmed the second meeting in 1775. American stood together and organized resistance to Parliament's Intolerable​ act.
