    Treaty of Versailles Signed
    The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty that officially ended the first World War. The treaty placed the blame of the war on Germany and stated that Germany would need to pay an enormous amount of capital in order to repair damage caused for the war. This event is significant because it marked the end of one of the largest conflicts the Earth had ever seen.

  • League of Nations meet in Geneva

    League of Nations meet in Geneva
    The assembly of countries united to keep international peace, the League of Nations, have there first meeting in Geneva, Switzerland. The United States do not join, even though they were the ones to propose the idea. This event is important because it marks the first meeting of the world's very first international law-enforcement agency. Geneva also became the headquarters for the League of Nations, and though it disbanded, it likely planted the seed for the United Nations to come about.

    Washington Conference Initiates
    Washington Conference was a confernce in which the naval powers of the world met in Washington D.C. to disuss disarmament. When it concluded, the U.S., Britain, France, Japan, and Italy all agreed to lower the size of their respective fleets. This event is important because the size of the navy could greatly affect WWII and all the naval powers of the entire Earth downsizing seems pretty historically significant on a global scale
  • Dawes Plan

    Dawes Plan
    A plan proposed by a commitee headed by Charles Dawes, an American. The plan was to prevent Germany from economically imploding, and consisted of three main points. One was to put industrialized Ruhr back under full German control, the second was to modify how much Germany was expected to pay the Allies per year, and the third was a complete remodeling of the national banks. This event is significant because if Germany fell to ruin, then communism may have spread throughout all of Europe.

    Johnson-Reed Act, National Origins Act, Asian Exclusion Act
    These acts limited the numbe of immigrants permitted to enter the United states to a mere 2% of the population of that country. Asain Immigrants were completely prohibited from entering the United States. This date is important because immigration has been a subject of major conflict in the U.S. from then even until now, and these acts were a direct way of addressing these subjects in a way the U.S. saw fit.

    Locarno Treaties are signed
    The Locarno Treaties were a series of agreements that were signed to finalize the boundaries between the new territories after WW1 was over, as well as returm relations with Germany to somewhat normal. This was important because it greatly changed the structure and boundaries of Europe as well as how the world viewed Germny post-WW1.
  • Geneva Naval Conference

    Geneva Naval Conference
    Once again, naval powers were asked to assemble to discuss the limitaions of their fleets. Unlike the Washington Conference, there were ships that had yet to have set limitations, and the conference didn't yield positive results. This is significant because since there is a loophole in the Washington Conferende, naval powers can amass their fleets unhindered.
