Japanese invasion of China
This was known as the Second Sino-Japanese War, it was between China and Japan from July 7th, 1937 up till September 9th, 1945. The battle started because of the Marco Polo Bridge Incident which was a disagreement with the troops from each side. At first Japan was defeating China but eventually surrendered to the allied forces after the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Rape of Naking
The Naking Massacre was from around December 13th, 1937 till January 1938. There was a lot of mass murder and mass rape all committed by Japanese troops in Nanjing, China.

Blitzkrieg is a military tactic used for creating disorganization in enemy forces with the use of mobile forces and firepower. It ends up preserving human lives and saving artillery. The Germans did it in Poland before successfully using the tactic in other places.

Operation of Barbarossa
Operation Barbarossa was the Axis invasion of the Soviet Union starting on June 22, 1941.The Nazi aim was to conquer the Western part of the Soviet Union and be repopulated with Germans and to use the Slavs as slaves. The Germans had many victories attempting to take the land, but in the Battle of Moscow the Soviets pushed the German troops back.

The Wannsee Conference was a meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany and Shutzstaffel leaders in Berlin on January 20th, 1942. The reason for this meeting was to ensure the cooperation of administrative leaders for the Final Solution.

the Bataan Death march was done by the imperial Japanese Army to forcibly transfer Filipino and American prisoners. The prisoners were loaded onto the trains and moved, the loading started after the three month Battle of Bataan on April9th,1942. -
Operation Gomorrah
The Operation Gomorrah was when the British were bombing Hamburg, Germany during the night; while the Americans would bomb them in the day. The bombing started on July 24th, 1943 till November later that year.

The Battle of Iwo Jima came up because of the American need for a base by the Japanese coast. There was air and naval bombardments and Iwo Jima was defended by Japanese soldiers who fought from caves, dugouts, tunnels and some underground installations. America won after a month of fighting.

Dropping of the atomic bombs
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was one of the final stages for World War II. The bombs used were atomic bombs that killed around 200,000 people. It was used to have the Japanese surrender to end the war. Japan had announced their surrender on August 15th, after the bombing of Nagasaki.
