    Imperial Japanese Army forces brutally murdered hundreds of thousands of people–including both soldiers and civilians–in the Chinese city. To gain resources from China. It took them decades to recover from the attacks.

    German Blitzkrieg
    Germany attacked Poland with the Blitzkrieg tactic in 1939 and was successful. They attacked Poland because they wanted to see if the Blitzkrieg would work and to see what the British would do. The effect was that Hitler gained lots of land and defeated other enemies.

  • Battle of Britain

    Battle of Britain
    German and British air forces attacked each other over the united kingdom. Germany kept attacking the British though they where unaware of British air defense stratagie. Britain’s victory saved the country from a ground invasion of German forces while proving that air power alone could be used to win a major battle.
  • Fall of Paris

    Fall of Paris
    German troops were sent to pairs to expand the German territories even bigger. The reason for the Germans to attack pairs was because they wanted more land and it would also help them with conquering more of Europe. The effect was that pairs fell and created an unbalance in power in Europe.

  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    Hundreds of Japanese fighter planes attacked the American base destroying 20 vessels and killing thousands. They attacked because they thought that the only way to solve there economic problem was to expand there territory. The cause of the attack was that the Americans declared war on Japan.

    Six months after Pearl Harbor the U.S. defeated Japan by breaking there code and ambushing them. It happened because the Japanese attacked the Americans at Pearl Harbor. The U.S. and its allies into an offensive position.

    Germans troops stormed into the city of Stalingrad. They attacked it because they saw that it was essential for there campaign in southern Russia. Both Germany and the USSR had great losses and by the end the town was destroyed.

    The Alliance surrendered on the Philippine island during WWll because the forces where crippled by starvation and decease. 75,000 Troops where forced to march to prison camps under harsh treatment from Japanese troops. The effect was that thousands of U.S. troopers perished.

    156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. British were considering the possibility of a major Allied invasion across the English Channel. The allies helped take back western Europe.

    Hitler attempted to split the allied armies in northwest Europe by a surprise blitzkrieg attack. America fought Deseret battles to stop the Germans. Americans tactics used in these battles proved vital to the allied defense, leading to the neutralization of the German counter defense. The Germans attacked them because they wanted to have there land and they used a tactic that worked three times before.

    The Americans had an amphibious invasion of Iwo Jima. They attacked them because the needed a base near Japan. The effect of the battle was that the Americans took over and got there base near Japan.

    Great Britain and The United States celebrated the victory over the Nazis. They where celebrating because Hitler was dead and the Nazis had lost. The effect was the Russians took prisoners and all of the fighting stopped.

    Dropping of The Atomic Bomb
    an American B-29 bomber dropped the world’s first deployed atomic bomb over the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The explosion wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people; tens of thousands more would later die of radiation exposure. The Americans dropped the Atomic bomb because they wanted the Japanese to surrender. After the Atomic bomb was dropped on Japan they surrendered.
  • VJ Day

    VJ Day
    Japan announced that they had surrendered effectively ending WW2. The Japanese surrendered because we dropped two atomic bombs on them killing thousands of people. The effect of them surrendering was that all the solders came home and they celebrated.
  • Battle of Okinawa

    The Americans knew that Japan would fall if the attacked Okinawa. America entered and Japan tried to surprise them with attacks. None of there plans worked against the Americans. The effect was the 12,000 Americans where killed and 111,000 Japanese where killed.
