    On January 18, 1945, the Nazis begin evacuating the Auschwitz death camp.Almost 60,000 prisoners are forced on a death march out of the camp. This does not necessarily mean that they are safe. They are actually evacuated because the Germans didn't want to reveal and expose what was actually being done with the Jews. The wanted to get rid of them as soon as possible.
