    The Holocaust was an event in which millions died apart of Hitler's Final solution. It was stopped when the allies came to Europe and destroyed the concentration camps. This event is significant because millions died for no purpose. Millions of people with families died, and in the harshest ways.
  • Nanking Massacre

    Nanking Massacre
    Japanese soldiers came in to Nanking and killed over 200,000 people. These Japanese soldier raped and killed thousands and they all could have lived instead of dying.
  • Battle of Britain

    The Battle of Britain is when the Germans attempted to bomb parts of Britain. Britain responded with the Royal Air Force to combat the threat. Over 40,000 civilians died during the air raids done by Germany.

    The Germans attempt to successfully encircle the Soviets and take Kiev. Over 600,000 people die in the month of fighting.

    The Germans attempted to siege the city of Leningrad. Over 500,00 civilians died due to starvation.

    Pearl Harbor
    The Japanese launched a surprise attack against America at Pearl Harbor. Over 2,000 people were killed in the attack, including 68 civilians.

    The Bataan Death March was an event in which the Japanese forced prisoners of war to walk 60 miles with very harsh conditions. Over 5,000 prisoners lost their lives on this march, as those who could not continue walking were shot by the Japanese.

    The Germans managed to take Stalingrad but were quickly encircled and had to surrender in 5 months. This is seen as one of the most bloodiest battles in World War 2 with over 1.5 million dead.

    D-day was the allied invasion of German controlled France. Many different countries came together to invade the beaches of Normandy .
    This event is significant because thousands of troops lost their lives on only one day of fighting.

    It was a resistance movement to free Warsaw from the Germans. The soviets were supposed to help but they got stopped along the way. 200,000 civilians die in this battle and 700,000 are expelled from the city.

    Germans attempt to push through the Allied offensive. The attempt failed and the allied kept pushing. Thousands of people died i this battle, it was also the battle in which the U.S lost the most troops in all of World War 2

    The soviets attack Berlin from multiple directions causing them to surrender. Almost 200,000 people died in this offensive to take Berlin.

    The united States used a devastating weapon on the Japanese in the final days of the war. These bombings killed over 100,000 people, and countless mores suffered from the radiation that came out of the blast.
