    The Beginning of World War II, the dictators Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, and many more, who help each other and are allies. Overall, Germany started the war with invading Poland and breaking the Non-Aggression pack. Great Britain and France then declares war on Germany.

    War in the West
    Germany invades Norway and Denmark, then sweeps through Belgium and the Netherlands, which is known for Blitzkrieg. A few days later, Hitler sent troops to cross the Meuse river and invade French soldiers in Sedan. The Germans soon break through the Maginot line with tanks and continued on invading.

    War in the West Pt.2
    German forces close in on Paris, as a new government is formed by Marshal Philippe Petain, who then divided France into two zones. After France did this, Hitler turned his attention towards Britain, which Britain had the defensive advantage. Germany then bombs Britain with planes and had other raids in the night.

    After Hitler's troops overran Yugoslavia and Greece, he set out a plan/objectives he wanted to accomplish. He wanted a master race and needed to give his people a so called "Lebensraum" it needed. Another part of Hitler's plan was called the "Final Solution", which consists of the extermination of Jews.

    As Hitler's plans went on, he soon ordered a invasion on the Soviet Union, which code was Operation Barbarossa. The Soviet Union had the upper hand with many tanks and planes, out numbering the Germans, but Germany's Air technology was by far stronger and more advanced then the Soviet Unions. Germany invade into Moscow and then advanced to winter.

    In the Pacific
    As Britain was battling Germany in Europe, the U.S was the only capable country to fight Japan. Also this event included an expansion of an ongoing war with China in the late 1941's. Soon enough, Japanese aircrafts attacked the U.S Naval Base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, taking the whole U.S by surprise, and killing many. This event caused the U.S to join WWII and on December 8, U.S congress declared war on Japan.

    After British and American forces defeat Italians and Germans in North Africa, U.S allies invade Sicily and then Italy, taking down Mussolini and the entire government in July 1943. Going over to the Eastern Front, the Soviet Union Counteroffensive launched in November 1942, finishing up a bloody Battle of Stalingrad, which was a very aggressive war, which ended up having most German soldiers surrender.

    In the Pacific Pt.2
    With the U.S declaring war on Japan, Japan had a long line of victories, but the U.S won the Battle of Midway, in June 1942. A turning point then soon followed at this point of the war. Allies of the U.S had much success against Japanese forces in many sprawled out battles, occurring from August 1942 to February 1943. Coming up to the mid-1943, Allied Naval forces had begun to counterattack against Japan, being very aggressive. Allies soon had invading Japan, in there home land.

    Closing in on Victory Pt.2
    Coming up in June 6 1944, is D-Day, a massive invasion of Europe, many soldiers departing on the beaches of Normandy, France. Hitler then puts all of the strongest part of his army left into Western Europe, which followed up defeat in the East. The Soviet Union advance to Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary and Romania, while Hitler was busy fighting the U.S and Britain, which lead and known for the Battle of the Bulge.

    The war coming to an end, the is a conference called Potsdam Conference, which included President Harry S. Truman, Churchill and Stalin, all discussing about the war with Japan, and Germany. Germany then is divided into four occupation zones, which are controlled by the Soviets, British, Americans, and the French. War finishes with Japan with heavy casualties with the atomic bomb.
