    Germany Invades Poland
    On September 1st 1939, Germany invaded Poland, going on land and air using the Blitzkrieg strategy. the strategy involved destroying enemies captivity, railroads, communication line and munitions. This happened because once Hitler had wanted to take back the land that was rightfully Germany's. The Polish army was easily taken out with 2,000 tanks and 1,000 airships. Warsaw later surrended on September 27th 1939.

    Germany Invades France
    On June 14th at 8pm, Germany invaded France. By this time 2 million Parisians had fled with a good reason. While the remaining Parisians had stayed in despair they would cheer as Canadian soldiers offered to free France. This happened because Germany wanted their land back and so he could wipe out more Jews. This left Paris in despair with many shops destroyed. The US was thinking about coming to the French aid but they did not at this point in time.

    On 7 September 1940, the Luftwaffe unleashed a bomb on London. This happened because on September 4th Hitler was frustrated by the RAF's fighter command bases. So he sent out 1,000 planes, 300 bombers and 600 fighter across the channel. After 430 civilians were killed and 1600 injured. Churchill then said "He [Hitler] has lighted a fire which will burn with a steady and consuming flame until the last vestiges of Nazi tyranny have been burnt out of Europe". This made the US ponder.

    On March 11th, 1941, the Lend Lease act was authorized. Which is giving 50+ million dollars in military aid. This involved selling, leasing, transferring and trading the supplies. This happened because Britain was in need of help, with aid. So with this the US gave aid but also signed a statement of neutrality so we didn't have to get involved but we give aid to the allies.

    At 7:55am [Hawaiian time] a Japanese bomber was being seen in the distance. Then 360 planes followed behind it as a surprise attack occurred. This happened because Japanese was mad that the British had gotten aid form the US so they bombed us.The Japanese destroyed nearly 20 American naval vessels, including eight battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died, and another 1,000 were wounded.

    On December 8th 1941 President Roosevelt had declared war on Germany. So the Us had broken their statement of neutrality since they wanted their vengeance on Axis powers for bombing their naval base. The US then went to the side of the allies and set war on Germany, Italy and Japan. With this, they would battle side by side in war. So this made Germany even more mad and so the went off to batte

    On December 11th 1941, Hitler had declared war on the US. Thought the bombing had surprised Germany, Hitler had made an oral agreement with the axis powers before it. So then Hitler comes to Japans aid by declaring war. So in the end the had declared war on the US. This is what had happended after the bombing of pearl harbor

    Six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States defeated Japan. On June 4th 1942, their was a declusive naval battle in the pacific theater. This happened because fleet engagement between U.S. and Japanese navies in the north-central Pacific Ocean resulted from Japan’s desire to sink the American aircraft carriers that had escaped destruction at Pearl Harbor. Admiral Yamamoto Isoroku, Japanese fleet commander, thought he could out smart us but we were able to trick them.

    On June 17 1942 Nazi and its allies (Italy and Japan) decided to attack to Soviet Union. This because Hitler wanted to take over the Soviet Union. In the end the Soviet victory at Stalingrad made Hitler humiliated more than ever. He now became more distrustful than ever of his generals. Stalin, on the other hand, gained more confidence in his military, Stalingrad remained largely on the alert. The war had ended on Feb 2, 1943 with Stalin victorious.

    On June 6, 1944, the Normandy landing was invaded by During World War II, the Battle of Normandy. which ended with the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control. (A.K.A Overlord). When some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy. this lead to the Allies victorious. This was also another turning point in ww2
  • US bombs Japan

    On August 6, 1945, America B-29 bomber set of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing 80,000 instantly. Others would later die of radiation. Three days later America dropped another bomb on Nagasaki, killing about another 40,000 people instantly. This left Germany to surrender, stopping world war 2. This led the allies victory and Germany gaining more humiliation.
