The Soviet Union was a union that contained Russia, Belarus, Ukraine. It was also in WWII, and Stalin was the leader. It finally dissolved in 1991. -
The Beginning
World War II began due to Hitler wanting to take over the world under his rule, and invaded Poland and took it over first. Then he made an agreement with the Soviet Union to work together. -

Adolf Hitler's rule
Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Nazi party in Germany and started WWII, he believed Jews were a scapegoat of another incident and planned to wipe them out for good. He believed that blonde hair and blue eyes was the Superior race, and wiped out anyone who didn't have these traits, even though he didn't have these himself. Hitler lost WWII and fled, making people believe he suicided. He did not, and his body was found by a janitor years later. -

WWII lasted for 6 years and over 60 million people died, and 40 million of those people were civilians and 20 million were soldiers. The war is the most deadliest conflict in history, resulting in a lot of bloodshed and madness. -

Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin was born in 1878 and died 1956. He was Russia's leader at the time and was a communist. He was so insane he murdered his own people if he went against them. He and Hitler were enemies as they broke a pact and were invading the other. -
The Axis form
The Axis formed when Germany needed allies to take over the world, and the other two are Italy and Japan, as they had the same interests. -
The Allies form
In retortion to the Axis, the Allies formed to defeat the Axis. The Allies are America, Canada, England, France, Russia and China. -

The Holocaust
The Holocaust lasted from 1941 to 1945, and killed over nine million Jews. 1.5 million were children. The victims were gassed, tortured, starved til you could see their bones, experimented on, and labored to death. The Holocaust is rendered as the most deadliest genocide in history, and many people still grieve those deaths to this day. -
America gets dragged into war.
America wanted to stay out of war because they feared of their image being damaged, then Japan bombed the American Pacific fleet, known as the bombing of Pearl Harbor. then America got involved, declaring war on Japan. -
Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki took place when Japan refused to give up in WWII, and threatened America. So, in response, America dropped not one, but two atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After America helped Japan rebuild, a pact was signed that no nation (Except North Korea, as they didn't attend this convention) was to use atomic bombs in wars ever again, after realizing what it could do.
