    What started the invasion was known as the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. The conflict burst into a full on battle known as the Second Sino-Japanese War. In the begining all countries involved with the war were aiding China. In 1928 Hitler made an alliance with Japan.

    Occured during the Second Sino-Japanese war. It was mass rape and murder commited by the Japanese troops on the citezens of China.

    British Bombers raided Hamburg, Germany during the night and Americans bomb it by day in their "Blitz Week". There were astronomical amount of loss to the german people. The loss is not only in goods but in lives as well.

  • Operation Thunderclap

    A cancelled operation. It was completely planned out but never implimented. There was belief that if the plan had taken place and the predicted outcome would have happened it would have ended the war right then due to the large number of casualties in one shot , however it was proven the plan would not work so the operation was cancelled but later reconsidered in 1945.

    The battle lasted 35 days. After the battle there were still resistances that hid in the caves until May. There was a lot of loss in this battle. There were only 300 Japanese soldiers left alive out of the 21,000 and the Americans had 20,000 injuries and 6,500 deaths.

    This battle resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths for both sides of the battle. The deaths were not only military personel but civilian is well. The civilian deaths were prompted by Japanese propaganda that showed them being caputured and tortured by the Americans.

    VE Day was a day of celebration in most of europe. This was the day that the Allied forces marked as the formal acceptance of their win.

    American military system dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima. The bomb left the town nearly non-existent and what was left was fragments of what it used to be. The Japanese still refused to surrender and so a second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.
