The Germans used toxic gas against the Allies. This could blind men and cause death to the people that breath or see the gas. They started using gas mask against that.

Sinking of the Luitania

A german U-boat saw the Lusitania and tried to torpedo the ship. The captain ignored the British telegram about a german U- boat and suffered.

Wilson reelected; pledged American neutrality

Wilson was reelected in November 1916. He beat Charles Evans Hughes in the election. He pledge neutrality to U.S.

Zimmermann Note

A man named Zimmermann made a plain to distract the U.S. from the war. This was a telegram that was taken from the British. Then told to the U.S. This drew the U.S. into the war.

Bolsheviks led by Lenin overthrew the Russian government.

Lenin and his group went and overthrew the government and made governments and agreed with an agreement to end fighting. They wanted to deal with problems at their country.

The Allies win the war and beat the Germans. When the Americans entered the war, they set back German lines and made the germans surrender the war.

This end the war which was the most dangerous war for that time. Germans surrendered to the allied forces. So, the allies won against the central powers.
