    This battle was a decisive engagement between the Russian and German Empires in the first days of World War I. The battle causeed almost complete destruction of the Russian Second Army. Also a series of follow-up battles destroyed most of the First Army as well.

    The Lusitania set sail on the Atlantic Ocean May 1,1915, making its 202nd trip. Sailing the ocean had become dangerous since the outbreak of WWI. German U-Boats stalked the British waters, looking for enemy boats to sink. Although ships such as the Lusitania were on the look out for German U-Boats unfortunetly there luck ran out. Captain William Thomas Turner had slowed the ship down because of fog. Eventually a German U-boat spotted them and they were sadly sunken.
