Japanese invade China
This conflict broke out when China began full-scale resistance to the expansion of Japanese influence in its territory. It started back in 1931 but Japanese had taken control over some eastern China in 1937-1938. -

The invasion of Poland would bring living space for the German people. German forces had advanced as a military strategy (blitzkrieg). -

Poland surrenders to Germany
Poland could only fight for about 26 days before they couldnt handle it anymore. Over 100,000 Polish troops were taken as prisoners to the Germans. -
Germany invades Denmark and Norway
German warships enter major Norwegian ports deploying many thousands of German troops to occupying Norway. Germans were able to miss the mines that Britain had laid around the ports. -
Germany invades France, Belgium, Netherlands and Holland
Hitler, disregaurding his respect for their neutrality, sent his troops into Belgium and the Netherlands without any forewarning. The Germans were able to use parachutes and gliders that allowed them to "fly" over forts and mines and traps that were set. -
By now, all have surrendered to Germany
Germany occupied the Netherlands after five days of fighting. While Belgium was conquered within two weeks of fighting. -
Battle of Britain
Hitler tried to have Britain surrender without having to go to battle. Once they wouldn't surrender, they came to fight and this was the first battle almost exclusively in the air. -
German bombing of airfields and factories
The British were more focused on military targets and that is when London was bombed in 1940 and this resulted into thousands of deaths of just the civilians. -
Massive German air raids on London
It is the most devastating air raid. Germans firebomb the city causing hundreds of fires from the exploding bombs that engulfed areas of London. -
Germany invades Russia
HItler ordered for preparations for the invading but could not decide if they should invade England because of the British Navy that could be in the sea, air and land. -
Japan boms Pearl Harbor
Japanese fighter planes attacked the American naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. It only lasted two hours, but it was terrible: The Japanese destroyed nearly 20 American naval vessels, 8 enormous battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. More than 2,000 Americans soldiers and sailors died in the attack, and another 1,000 were wounded. -
US enters the war
The US always enters wars late, We did not enter the war till after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. That was "the last straw" for the US and they decided to enter. -
