    Germany Invades Poland
    1.5 million German troops invaded poland at 4:45 A.M. They used a strategy that was known as the blitzkrieg strategy which required lots of offensive weapons. Once Hitler made a base of operations he immediately started creating a security strategy to defend against any attack against poland.     This battle ended up not lasting very long because Paris wasn't expecting them to attack the way that the Germans did. By the time that german tanks got to Paris over 2 million people had fled. The rest of the day consisted of arrests, and interrogations.

    On December 7th hundreds of Japanese plans had attacked Pearl Harbor. More than 2000 American soldiers had died in the attack. Their goal was to destroy the entire American Pacific naval fleet. When the attack was over all that was left of the pacific fleet was the few ships that had returned to the mainlands.     Germany bombed london every night for 76 nights. The reason that they attacked at night was so that they would not be seen. The whole time that the germans were dropping the bombs they were aiming for the docks.

    6 months after the attack on Pearl Harbor the Japanese had launched an attack to try and destroy the remaining American aircraft carriers that had escaped destruction in Pearl Harbor. Their plan was to attack a target relatively close to Pearl Harbor. Then when the American naval forces got close enough they would launch another surprise attack on the remaining fleet. But American Commanders knew what they were going to do so they countered the Japanese attack.
