The Japenese killed the civilians of Nanjing and the women were raped by Japenses soilders. Japan declared all out war on China they want to crush the spirt of the Chinese.

German Blitzkrieg

Pearl Harbor
The Japenese sent fighter planes to attack Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941. The Japense destroyed 20 American naval vessels, including eight enormous battleships, and more than 300 airplanes. The Japenses wanted to destroy American battle ships so that America couldn't fight back.
After that attack the USA delcarded war on Japan.

Wannsee Conference
15 high-ranking Nazi Party and German government officials gathered at Berlin suburb of Wannsee to disscus the extermination of the Jews. The Nazi wanted to get rid of all the Jews in Europe.

Dropping of the atomic bombs
President Harry S. Truman decided to drop the atomic bomb on Japan beacuse he wanted a quick end to the war. He knew if the U.S sent troops into Japan casualties would be high. 80,000 people died when from the bomb weeks later thousands died from radation.
