    At first, airplanes were used only to watch enemy forces. After awile, they noticed how effective they were so they started shooting down enemy planes.

    The flamethrower induced fear into the French and British soldiers. Also, since it could be shot into trenches luring soldiers out to be shot down on the spot it only caused even more terror for them.

    Tanks in WW1 played an extremely important role as they increased mobility on the Western Front. They were the reason that they eventually broke the stalemate of trench warfare.

    when the German forces to use chlorine gas as a weapon John Haldane came up with an undeveloped gas mask to protect Allied troops during WWI therefore many Allied soldiers suffocated because they were under protected.
