    Franz Ferdinand is assassinated
    The king of Austria-Hungaria was killed in Sarvejo. Both him and his wife where shot. He was shot in the neck and his wife was shot in the abdomen. There were a few attempts to kill him, but none succeeded, until 1914.
  • Austrio-Hungarian's Declare War

    Austrio-Hungarian's Declare War
    The Austrio-Hungarian empire declare war on Serbia. They send a telegram to Serbia saying that because of Serbia not answering a note, they are declaring war.
  • Declaring War Everywhere

    2 days after declaring war on Russia, Germany declares war with France. Also, Germany invades Belguim, who was nuetral. A day later, Britian declares war on Germany.

    On this day, Austria sends about 200,000 troops to Serbia. They later lost this battle because of the superior Serbian army and lack of ammunition. The battle 9might have been lost, but the war has just begun.

    The first German air raid used on Britian. Two zepplin bombs were dropped on Great Britian. This is the first zepplin bomb ever used, before the just used gas filled balloons.

    An American cruise ship was attacked and sunk by German U-boats. Even after several warnings of U-boats in the area, the captain didn't turn around. They were then sunk of the coast of South Ireland.

    Italy declares war with Germany and Austria. They now officially have joined the war.

    Gallipoli was a plan created by Winston Churchill to end the war by creating a newer bigger war. Personally, I think it was probably the worst idea, stop violence with more violence. Even though this plan worked at first, it ended miserably with a ton of Allied deaths.

    Kign Edward VII was sunk of the coast of Northern Scotland. This ship was the lead ship of the Royal Navy battleships, all of the battleships in her fleet were sunk.

    A German gunboat was actually sunk by and ex-German boat. The boat sunk was named the "Hedwig Von Wissman.

    On this day, Germany drags Portugal into World War 1. Six days later, Austrio-Hungary copies Germany, and also declares war with Portugal.

    USA declares war with Germany on this important day for americsn history. We are now part of World War 1. This happens a few months after we cut off communications with Germany.

    The treaty of Brest-Litovsk is signed and ends the war between Germany and Russia. It was made so Russia could start concentrating on itself and stop spending so much money on war.
