    William Sheakspear

William Shakespear was born in 1564. No one really knows when he was born, but it is celebrated on April 23rd. He was in love with theatre, but was quite poor. In London, he went to the theatre and bought a ticket and stood with the other groundlings, or people with very cheap tickets. Queen Elizabeth also loved plays, especially blank verses, which are lines written to havelots of rhythm. The rhythm for most blank verse plays is called iambic pentameter.

During these 15 years, William leaves town. Nobody now knows where he went. There are lots of theories though, one of them being he was kicked out of town for hunting rabbits on another person's property. This is easy to believe, since at the time there was a famine

Suddenly, Will pops up out of nowhere in London! Here he has a great time, because he stays there for a very long time, also getting a job. Some people think he tended to the horses for the actors in the theatre. Because of this, for years people called the people who had that job "Sheakspear's boys".

    (I) King James, of Scotland and England
Right before Queen Elizabeth died, she revealed who she wanted to rule England. Her cousin, King James of Scotland. The inference we can make from this is that England and Scotland must have had a very close connection, and so maybe the cultures wielded together.
