A big group of Aboriginal men, women and children were hunting for kangaroos very close to the settlers camping grounds. no ones sure if the Europeans thought they were under attack or they used it as an excuse to kill the black people. -

Governer Arthur got every man to form a human chain to sweep across the rest of Tasmania to collect any remaining Aboriginals. they only caught an old man and a young boy. -
Wangaratta
all but 4 aboriginal kids were killed by white settlers, who kept them for sexual purposes. -
The Black War
in 1832, Governor Arthur ordered rovering parties to patrol settlement camps and catch any aboriginal people found. They then were ordered to shoot them all. In other districts people were rewarded with cash if they caught aboriginals. -

Fredrick Taylor, manager of Glenormiston station surrounded the group of the Tarnbree Tribe in a gully. only 12 survived and they burnt the rest to destroy any evidence. -
The Coorong Massacre
People from the Milmenrura tribe found a group of survivors from the shipwrecked Maria. they were going to take the back to settlement until conflict occurred. 2 of their men were hanged because of the crime. -
Cape Otway Massacre
George Smythe's surveying party shot 8 aboriginal people. everyone accept one were women and children. -
Elliston Massacre
in retaliation for killing a white man, the Eurpeons shot several of the Nawu people. Many of the tribe ran off a cliff face to avoid a painful death. -
Avenue Range Station Massacre
Owner of Avenue Range Station in Mt Gambier murdered at least 9 people of the Wattatanga tribe in result of them stealing his sheep. charges were dropped due to lack of witnesses.
