Werner Heisenberg 12/05/1901-02/01/1976

  • The beginning

Werner Heisenburg was born on December 05, 1901 in Würzburg, germany. His father, Dr. August Heisenburg was the professor for middle and modern greek languages at the University of Munich. His mother was a Annie Wecklein, a daughter of the rector of the elite Maximilians-Gymnasium in Munich.

    Education

In 1910, Werner became a Professor in Greek Philosophy like his father. In addition, he decide to showcase his mathematic skills by trying out for the Maximilians-Gymnasium. In which he stunned his teachers.Later in the years in 1920, Werner enter the University of Munich. Where he became a student the late expert, Arnold Sommerfeld. If you don't know him; he is a atomic spectroscopy and exponent of quantum models of physics. He finished his PHD with dissertation on hydrodynamics in 1924.

    Education Continues (mediocre)

With Heisenburg's Doctorate, He decided to work on the anomalous Zeeman effect. This dealt with the magnetic field and how atomic spectral lines split apart under the influence . LOL. As a student still to Sommerfeld, He became an assistant and student of Max Born. In 1924,Werner was qualified to teach at an germany level

While helping Max, Heisenburg then tackled the unknown, spectrum intensities of the electron taken as an anharmonic oscillator. He centered his theory on the concentration of just the observable quantities to his paper in. Him and his new assistant, Mr. Jordan, realized that matrix algebra help them solved the puzzle to their paper the wrote in July 1925. This was the development of Quantum Mechanics. In 1920, more theories produced. As Heisenburg was going through his education;the bracket notation and the wave equation was developed. He then returned to Bohr’s institute in Copenhagen, which sparked the paper of “On the Perceptual Content of Quantum Theoretical Kinematics and Mechanics."(1) This paper spoke on uncertainty, or indeterminacy, principles. It shows that pair of canonically conjugate variables, such as energy and time.(1) He then spoke of philosophically profound statements.

    Success

Along with some of Heisenburg's colleagues;Dirac, Jordan, Wolfgang Pauli, and others. He came across a program that allows them to create quantum field theories. When Neutrons was discovered, guess who developing a model of proton and neutron interaction in an early description of what decades later came to be known as the strong force and won a Noble Prize in 1932.

    WW2

Heisenburg and his colleagues was taken as prisoners by American troops but then returned to germany in 1946 and renamed his colleagues institute, "the Institute for Physics at Göttinge" to "Max Planck Institute for Physics" after losing his friend.

    Life

Werner then became a speaker for Cambridge, England, to give lectures. In post war period he continued to research his theory of Quantum field. In 1958, he proposed "unified field theory", which is newspaper stories referred to his “world formula”. Werner Heisenberg died on February 1, 1976.
