    Delegates from the thirteenth original colonies meet to "revise" the Articles of Confederation. At the end of the convention, the delegates emerged with a new document to run the country.

    Federalist Papers are Published
    Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and James Madison wrote 85 articles on ratifying the Constitution. Jay wrote five, Madison wrote 29, and Hamilton wrote 51. The Federalist papers ultimately allowed the Constitution to be ratified by New York and Virgina.
