     Uncle Tom’s Cabin Published
    Uncle Tom's Cabin was a book based on anti-slavery and was one of the major causes of the Civil War. The author, Harriet Beecher Stowe, dedicated this book to abolitionist and she was once greeted by President Lincoln.

    On April 14, 1865, John Booth a person from the Confederate side was not liking the idea of slavery being banned so he went to a play at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. President Lincoln was at the play and Booth thought that if he shot Lincoln he would do a great service for his race and country. Booth shot Lincoln and Lincoln was rushed to a house across the street, 9 hours later Lincoln was said that he was dead.
