    Canadian soldiers fight illegally in the Spanish war

    A total of 1,546 Canadian Soldiers left to fight in the 1937 Spanish Civil War. anywhere from 400 to 700 of these Canadian soldiers had died.

    In 1939 Canada independently declared war on Germany. during the first world war Canada joined under British command, the gained independence after World War 1.

    In 1944 14,000 Canadian troops landed on the German held beach code-named "Juno." The German lines were 10 kilometers long, the Canadians are known for pushing the farthest into the beach. A total of 156,000 soldiers were put on all 5 beaches.
