    Gave all citizens right to vote and shall not be denied the right to vote.

    Railroad across the U.S gave americans many opportunities. But it also killed many workers who made the railroad
  • John D. Rockefeller

    Gained total control of the oil industry. He did this by driving his competitors out of business and paying employees low wages. He lowered prices for oil, once all competitors were out of business he hiked prices. He also gave away 500 million
  • Spanish American War

    America wants to acquire land to produce and sell goods which led to war with spain over the philipinnes cuba and puerto rico.
  • Ellis Island

    Were many immigrants from europe had to go to before getting admitted to the U.S
  • Urban Problems

    Housing, Transportation, Water and Sanitation were problems in many citites as well as crime in the 1800s to the early 20th century
  • New way of selling good in the U.S.

    Urban shopping, Department stores and chain stores were all ways of selling goods to the people in early 20th century this is still used today
  • Roosevel Policies

    Railroad regulation, coal strike, Food and Drug regulation, conserving of natural resources and many other policies helped the U.S be safer and also conservative of their resources
  • Segregation

    Racial segregation in many public places
    School were seperste but equal
  • Panama Canal

    Made Panama rebel against Colombia to then have acces to the canal which would be used as a short cut from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic
  • Zimmerman Note

    The Zimmerman Note was a telegram sent from Germany to Mexico intercepted by British Agents, the telegram proposed an alliance with Mexico.Germany would support them in getting land back from the U.S. The United States were angered by this and was a main purpose of why they entered the war
  • Selective Service Act WWI

    The Selective Service Act made men register to get randomly selected for military service. This Act still used today made recruiting soldiers easier
  • Prohibition

    Banning of alcoholic beverages which made most Americans buy alcohol illegaly. Also many bootleggers smuggling them in.

    New ideal for women. New style for women and roles changed their attitudes against old ideals
  • Harlem Renaissance

    African Americans culure and artists being popular in the 1920s this also made many African Americans migrate to the north
  • Causes of Great Depression

    Crisis in farms, easy credit, unequal distribution of income, tariffs and war debt were all causes which led to a decade long crisis for many Americans
  • Dust Bowl

    Big drought and dust storms across the plains during Great Depression made life even worse for people living in farms across the plains
  • Impact of New Deal

    These new deals roosevelt passed helped the U.S. Get out of the Great Depression

    The U.S. Rationed goods so they can takenmlst resources tonthe war many Americans contributed to the rationing

    These Americans were Soviet Spies Who help to get information to make the soviets have the power to make the atomic bomb.if it was not for them they wouldn't have not had the power to make an Atom bomb for many years

    Many Americans feared if Vietnam goes communist other countries would follow
  • Brown versus the Board of Education

    This case made school segregation unconstitutional this helped many African-American students to get the education they need
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

    Americans fear of cubans having missiles because they can reach most of U.S. This almost caused a war between the soviet union and the U.S
  • Act of 1965

    just at the African-Americans the right to vote and no state can deny there right to vote
    This was the one of the acts that gave African-Americans equal rights

    Working class citizens go to war because of the seective service system this was used because most young Americans like the idea of war
