    The first personal computer was priced at $1,565. It could play games and process information faster than any other computer. The computer came with many assortment packages that cost extra such as a pinter, extra memory, and game adaptor

    Ronald Regan is reelected as president, and he won against Walter Mondale. Ronald Regan is attributed to the longest economic growth period, which lasted 92 months
  • Chernobyl

    A nuclear power plant in Ukraine exploded due to a flaw in the reactor. It caused radiation poisoning and killed two people instantly, but many more as the years went on.
  • 41st President of the United States

    George Bush ran against Micheal Dukakis and Bush won. He finished the final years of the cold war, and help Germany reunite. Also, he was president during the invasion of Panama.
  • The Fall of the Berlin Wall

    The Fall of the Berlin Wall started by a group of East Berlin citizens dismantling the wall, and then the wall fell on November 9th, 1989. It united East Berlin to West Berlin after 30 years.
  • End of the Cold War

    The Soviet Union is dissolved after the Berlin Wall fell because the Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, resigned as leader.
  • 42nd President of the United States

    Bill Clinton ran against George W. Bush and Clinton won. He signed off on the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Violent Crime Control, and Law Enforcement Act.
  • Terrorist bomb world trade center

    In a parking garage next to the world trades center, a terrorist explodes a bomb. It didn’t cause critical damage to the world trade center, but it did kill six people and injure more than 1,000
  • 911

    Two planes crash into the twin towers carrying passengers on board, and another plane crashes into the pentagon. The first plane crashed into the north tower at 8:45, and the second plane crashed into the south tower at 9:03. The plane that crashed into the pentagon hit at 9:40. A total of 2,977 people died.
