This invasion started all because of Japans long quests to expand their culture and influence.This war was one of the largest asian wars in the 20th century. This war eventually merged to the start of World War II after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Because the U.S. was helping China fight against Japan.

The day after the assault, President Roosevelt asked Congress to declare war on Japan; Congress approved his declaration with just one dissenting vote.
