Vessel is the first album Tyler wrote while singed by a record company (Fueld By Ramen.) They wanted to test how much freedom they had with the company so they put their grandfathers on the cover. The song Car Radio was re-recorded and released on Vessel. He said that when they were not as popular and playing in smaller venues fans would tell him they helped them live and not make the choice o end their lives.
