I think there was progress for women since women were first seen as “fragile, helpless creatures” however During the war “working hard in the front line as nurses and sacrificing their lives” They proved their worth.

I think there was decline for grain growers in Canada. On these newspapers they say, “the angel of death is aboard Europe” and “The dance of Death” I think all they can see is the deaths of war.

I think there was progress since he got paid more. “I was getting $5 a year” .... “when I joined the army, I was getting $1.10 per day”

There was progress since the artist had a chance to show their skills. During the war they were able to become better artists or start their careers since they were given inspiration.

I think there was more progress since they got new ways to attack their enemies. Creating very deadly things like bombers and they added machine guns.

There wasn’t much progress. Even thought Francis was a very good sniper and fighter he was respected throughout the army and was a role model. “Even thought Francis was respected, the same respect wasn’t shown for the other first nations, they were treated unfairly and not even considered a Canadian citizen.”

I think there was some progress for colored men because of Jeremiah Jones. “He had proven a black man's worth in a white man's army.” However, some colored men were still discriminated.“He rescued his unit from an enemy Gun nest in what was to become a battle that is now known as Canada's greatest success and source of great national pride.”

There was a high demand for resources and weaponry. A cargo ship that had tons of explosives crashed into Nova Scotia. This killed and injured many people.

World war one ends due to outstanding service of the Canadian military, "the day Germany signed an armistice (an agreement for peace) which caused the fighting to stop."
