  • Parents Move into New house

Just a few weeks prior to me being born, my parents moved. This established the new home and environment that I was going to be raised in for my entire childhood.
  • Period: to

    Life To Date

  • First Crawl

At 7 months, I crawled for the first time. This showed that I was starting to understand things a little bit and I was interested in exploring my surroundings.
  • First Words

Shortly after learning to crawl, I developed the ability to speak. My first word was clock, and this shows that I was beginning to remember things that my parents had said and tried to tell me as I explored the area around me.
  • Interaction With Siblings/ Recognition of Siblings

At this point in time, I started to understand that the two "kids" that were always around me were my brother, JP, and sister, Emily.
  • Met my bestfriend Spencer

At my second birthday party, I was introduced to my bestfriend Spencer. I had just started making friends and playing with others on a regular basis. Making friends was and still is an important event and this is when it really started for me.
  • Period: to

    Play Years

During this time period, I started to figure things out that I enjoyed doing. My brother was very interested in Lego's and I would watch him as he put his sets together. I would try to build things of my own but didn't always have the skill developed yet to be as good as he was. I found that I enjoyed sports and during this time period I started playing sports (hockey and soccer).
  • Enrolled in Fun Factory Pre School

Just before my fifth birthday, I was enrolled in Pre School. I attended the school where I met two more of my very close friends and first learned basic play manners, such as sharing and picking up things. It was my first look at being responsible, although it was sometimes difficult because I was so focused on playing still.
  • Started kindergarten at Smith Elementary

This was my first day of class. School was similar to pre school, especially in the beginning, but after some time, the teacher began to prepare us for real learning. I learned my ABC's and numbers, which took some simple memorization but also showed that I was growing and my brain was developing.
  • Joined a Travel Hockey Team

This was my first taste of truely competetive hockey. I had played house hockey for a few years prior to this, but my dad could tell I was looking for something more interesting. I learned to love the competition and it taught me valuable lessons such as discipline and sportsmanship.
  • Started Middle School

Middle School was the first big jump I encountered in life. Learning to deal with the everyday stress of hw and extra curriculars started. I learned to focus more closely on my schoolwork and also developed some taste for music. I joined the band class and began playing trumpet and was interested in picking up new skills.
  • Period: to

    Varsity Tennis Team

The tennis Team allowed me to develop friendships and bonds with some of my best friends. I also learned how to truely balance my life. Tennis kept me occupied and kept me out of trouble and also kept me focused.
  • Period: to

    High School Years

At this point in my life, I really began to figure out who I am and what I wanted to be. I focused intensely on my studies and did very well through all four years.
  • Period: to

    Varsity Hockey Team

After years of playing competitive hockey for so many years, it lead to me joining the Varisty Hockey Team. The biggest things I took away from it were being on a team and being a part of the family. It also taught me that things are not always about me. Being a part of team that represents the school as a whole taught me that I am not better than anyone and I need to work hard all the time to represent others well.
  • Period: to

    Undergraduate- University of Michigan

This past year I started my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. I am studying Kinesiology, and because my interest in the topic and my kinesthetic intelligence, I suspect that I will complete my degree in this same field and find success in some professional area.
  • First Days of College

Shortly after attending college, I became more aware of the everyday occurrences on a college campus. In my high school years, drugs and alcohol made rare appearances. In college, my eyes were opened somewhat and I realized that drug and alochol abuse may in fact be more prevalent than I had thought. It has taught me that continiuing to stay away from drugs and alcohol is important because of the large amount of exposure on campus.
  • Joined Hall Council of Mary Markley

Shortly after settling into my dorm, I gained an interest in helping to better my community. One way I was able to do this was by joining Hall Council.
  • Period: to

    RHA

After being elected to Hall Coucil, I was elected as the Residence Hall Association Representative for Mary Mrakley. In this position, I was able to build friendships and connections with individuals who were also interested in helping the residents at the University of Michigan.
  • Begin Training for Marathons/Triatholons

A lifelong goal of mine is to complete a marathon or triathalon, and specifically I would like to finish the Iron Man Competition in Hawaii. It will allow me to stay active and set goals for myself.
  • Period: to

    Medical School

After completing my undergraduate education, I plan on attending Medical School to study Sports Medicine. This field is a growing field, and because I have a plan layed out for myself, I believe I am setting myself up to be successful. I understand that there may be some conflict involved and some bumps in the road, but events from my past, such as playing hockey and other sports, have taught me that nothing with come without struggle and determination.
  • Move to Boston

After completing Medical School, and my residency, I plan on moving to Boston. I enjoy the social life of the big city and also have done some research and found that there is a large network of health systems in the Boston Area. This would give me a great oppurtunity to find employment.
  • Begin First Job after Medical School

Shortly after moving to Boston, I would like to find employment in the field of Sports Medicine. It is important to establish myself in the field of medicine, because I do have intentions of possibly opening my own practice later in life. Also, getting that first job out of medical school will prove to me that it was all worth it.
  • Period: to

Continue Practice in My First Office

While I do have intentions of starting a family and then eventually opening my own practice, I would like for at least a few aspects of my life to remain stable for a while in order to help prevent any midlife crisis from happening. I would like to continue working in the same office for at least ten years so I can gain extra understanding of the way things work and also to establish myself.
  • Marriage

In about ten years, I hope to be married. While many individuals in today's society are getting married at much younger ages, I do intend on waiting until I complete school and am able to establish myself in the working world. Because of my intentions of going to medical school, marriage may have to wait a little while.
  • First Child is Born

After being married for close to three years, I hope to have my first child. I have not yet thought about how many kids I would like to have, but I do know that I would like to provide for others. Having a child is important to me because I believe it will help prevent me from spending too much time on my work and will help me focus on my family.
  • Birth of Second Child

Just two years after having my first child with my wife, I would like to have another. Having an only child is great as you can give them all the attention in the world, but I believe having another child gives family a whole new meaning. And, they will still recieve plenty of attention.
  • Start My Own Practice

After working in Sports Medicine for over ten years, I plan on starting my own practice. I would like to work with other doctors who's focuses may be in other similar fields, such as injury prevention or physical therapy. The reason this event does not back up to working in my original job exactly is that I would like to take time to spend with my family and to relax.
  • Period: to

    Mid-Life Crisis

While it would be fantastic to avoid having a midlife crisis, I would expect it to occur during this time period. After going through the entire process of starting my own practice, and going through tremendous amounts of schooling, I feel as though there could be a lot of stress in my life. On top of all of this, I will be raising a family. This will not be easy, and all of these factors could add up to a midlife crisis, but I believe with good planning and help from others, I will avoid it.
  • Period: to

    Caring for Parents

During this time period, I would expect my parents to begin needing help with their daily lives. I have no intentions of ever having to place them in full time care facilities, and I would like to provide for them myself, much as they did for me.
  • Combine Buisnesses with My Sister

I would love to, at some point, create a buisness/practice with my sister. Because I am going to the field of Sports Medicine, many of my patients will require surgery, and post-surgery physical therapy. It would be convenient if we could keep all of our patients in the same family.
  • Iron Man Competition

Shortly after my parents passing, I would like to complete the Iron Man. I would take time off of work and instead of sitting around and grieving, I would keep my mind off of their death and train. I would like to finish the race with them in mind though.
  • Period: to

    Thinning of Work

During this time period, I would like my practice to continue to grow, but I would like the amount of work that I am doing to begin to lessen. I would like to begin relieving myself of some of my duties as the head of the practice, and begin phasing myself out for retirement.
  • Period: to

    First Grandchildren

Sometime during these few years, I would expect my first grandchild. While it is not guranteed that I will ever have any, it would be nice to have a large, close family as my support system for everything.
  • Retirement

By the age of 70, I would like to retire, As shown earlier, I will have already slowed my roll within my practice and I will gradually phase myself out completely. I would like to be able to have some time to spend with my family and while in the current generation 70 is very late for retirement, I believe that it is going to become more of the norm.
  • Purchasing of Vacation Home

Following my retirement, I would like to purchase a vacation home on the East Coast. I would like to purchase it in an area in which I can keep up an active lifestyle.
  • Period: to

    Trvaeling the World

I am a very active individual. I like to always be doing something, and I love visiting new places and trying new things. Traveling the world would be a fantastic oppurtunity to do that.
  • Period: to

    Last Years

During my final years, I would like to spend as much time as possible with my family. While my grandchildren may not understand exactly what will be going on, I want them to remeber me. I want to stay active for as long as possible and never give up on anything.
  • Death

Shortly after my 93rd birthday I was predicted to have my time come based on the aging test we took. While I am in now way looking forward to my death, if I were to reach anywhere close to this date and age, I would be thrilled. I will have lived an extremely rewarding life and will die very happily.
