Moving
When I was four I moved from Eastchester to Brewster. My mom has lived in Eastchester since she was fourteen so my family was very close by. We lived in a small apartment and one of my grandparents lived on the floor below meanwhile my other grandparents were just a quick walk away down the street. I don't remember much about living there since I was so little but I do remember being very upset when we had to leave. I was going to miss hanging out with my cousins and seeing my family everyday. -
Emily was born
My mom had my sister Emily when I was five years old. When my mom was pregnant I was so excited to be a big sister. I wanted to help with everything. I always helped my mom with feeding her and picking out her clothes. I was the first born so I didn't have any other siblings so I was very happy to have Emily. There was never a point where I was slightly jealous because I was just so excited to have a sister. My mom and dad always talked about their siblings so I was very happy to have my own. -
Croatia
One of the best vacations I ever went on was when I went to Croatia. My mom's family is Croatian so I have a lot of family there. This trip was the first time I met most of my family members. I hung out with my cousins everyday. It was really easy to hang out together because I could speak Croatian. I had a lot of fun on the trip however I knew I wouldn't be able to see my family for a long time. Later on I saw my cousins again nine years later and it felt like I was just with them yesterday. -
First Day of High School
I was very nervous on the first day of high school. I had friends but I didn't have many classes with them. When I first walked in I found a friend who was in my first period class and we went to class. Everyone was so much taller than me that I could hardly tell where I was going. I felt like I was back to my first day of middle school in the sixth grade. Throughout the day in my classes I started to talk to people in my grade I have never talked to before. I was so happy to make new friends. -
First Job
On my way for my first day at my job I was very nervous. My boss trained me on the register which at first was difficult since you had remember codes for certain items. I actually thought I was going to break the register some how or my boss was going to fire me for not ringing people up quickly. However after awhile it got very easy. I made a sheet with all the codes written down so I memorized them quickly. Now I don't even have to think twice of the codes.
