    This caused trade between the Europeans and Native Americans of animals, plants, and germs. This changed the way people lived, changing their diets and lifestyles.

    The Treaty of Tordesillas (1494)

    The treaty established Portuguals claim to Brazil. Spain claimed the rest of the Americas
    Soon the European countries would challenge these claims

    Expanding Trade (early 1500s)

    he expansion of trade led to new routes which was a challenge and led to slave trading with was used for establishing sugar plantations and producing sugar
    This also led to African Resistance in which enslaved africans attempted to resist slavery in any and every way they could
