Manchuria
Fighting the war took up many of Japan´s materials and they needed to get more. The Japanese and Soviet Union landed in Gal River in Manchuria to invade them. The Japanese used Manchuria´s raw materials for their industries. While doing this countries looked down upon Japan and The U.S tried so coax Japan to stop but failed and planned to use force. Japan noticing this took a step first and caused the Pearl Harbor bombing.
