He was known as Billy "The Kid", although his real name was Henry McCarty; He was the son of Catherine McCarty (His mother) and Patrick McCarty (His father). The exact date of his birth is not known but it is said that it was between the years 1859-1861 in New York, where he had most of his childhood. -

Billy returns to New Mexico, where he was hired by the Englishman Joe Johnston who was a male cattleman, but the Englishman had disputes with the economic elite of Lincoln County, creating rivalries and causing him to be killed. As revenge Billy and his colleagues created a group called the regulators, which began to kill one by one the executioners of their boss. -
The battle of Lincoln
On June 14, 1878, a great shooting took place between the regulators and the forces of the new Sheriff George and Pin, this conflict would be known as the Battle of Lincoln. The shooting in the town lasted about five days, the sheriff received reinforcements from army soldiers from fort stanton and managed to corner billy and his companions in a building; the building was set on fire so that they could leave, some died and others managed to escape, among them was Billy. -

In a tavern in New Mexico a man tried to kill Billy but he realized before the accident he had approached the man and asked him to show him the gun, Billy returned it and when he realized the man was going to shoot him but he Clever boy had positioned the barrel of the revolver so that one of the gun's empty chambers was the next to go off; Billy had no mercy and killed him. -
