    Thomas Samuel Kuhn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 17, 1922.

    Kuhn obtained a BSc degree in physics from Harvard in 1943. Thomas claims while attending college he was in the Harvard Junior Fellow society where he was given academic freedom. Kuhn gives credit to this time, this was the beginning of his career in philosophy.

    During the convention of "International Colloquium in the Philosophy of Science" in 1965, Paul Feyerabend was to be one of the main speakers, discussing his alliance with Karl Popper's Falsifiability method. However, Mr. Feyerabend was unable to attend due to illness. This just so happen to be a lucky moment for Thomas Kuhn, the convention ended up primarily discussing the paradigm shift that Kuhn was introducing at the time.
