    The Boston Massacre of 1770 began as a street riot between American colonist and British soldiers that took place on King Street in Boston. The Kent State shooting began because of protest from students against the Ohio National Guard protesting the Vietnam War. This protest took place at Kent State University, Ohio and the shooting occured on May 4, 1970, resulting in 4 students dead compared to the 5 dead from the Boston Massacre.
