Leaving
Somewhere in the middle of November of 2002. Ryan decided to make the decision and go off to the military. To pursue one of his most important goals. One where he would have to leave his family including his girlfriend back home. -
Maybe A Ring?
This was the time when Ryan had proposed to his wife named, Heather. It turns out that they think they can work this out and take another step forward with marriage -
Basic Training #2
This is when Ryan's eyes really start to open up he is focused.The drill sergeant work the men hard during their training. -
May (Home)
This was when Ryan was given some really good news. He was able to take a "break" and go home to his family. He said that he picked May because that was his and Heather's unofficial anniversary -
Pets
Sometime in 2003 Ryan came across a bird which he made a name for the guy. His name was "Jerkface". He alot of fun and laughter with this pet since is reminded him of his past pets. -
Irony
Ryan has now been leveled differently than what he has started off in and now he is able to teach the beginners. He says," And it's our job to show them the ropes." -
Basic Training #3
This is when Ryan has finally gotten used to the training and he is using the real deals, the guns. He has learned alot so far throughout this experience -
Words On Paper
Ryan doesn't talk about the war he has been through, until he writes a paper in college about war destroying him. But finally the war is lifted off of him -
The Innocent
Ryan has gotten himself a job. His job is watching kids, but then one child asked him why he went to Iraq. He then thought about it and said for the innocent people in Iraq -
End Ghosts Of War Published
Ryan obviously wanted to show and let other people learn from his journey. He wanted them to see all the things that he was going through and how he was treated. Even personal experiences was what he had shared
