  • The Decembrist Revolt

    The Decembrist Revolt was an unsusccessful uprising. The Decembrist were people of the higher classes with a military background. During the deaths of the people that supported religion, it inspired years of Russian dissidents.
  • Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne

    Nicholas II wasn't prepared to be a czar. He was only 13 when he became Czar. He was czar from 1894-1918.
  • The Russo-Japanese War

    Japan won the Russo-Japanese War. Japan had expanded its army so they had more troops against Russia.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday was a massacre in St. Petersburg. It was the start of the violent phase in the Russian Revolution. Bloody Sunday started with strikes against Nicholas II.
  • World War I (Russian Involvement)

    Russia helped the French in World War I. They were fighting against Germany in the war in the east.
  • The March Revolution

    The March Revolution was the first stage of the Russian Revolution. The March Revolution was where the monarchy was overthrown by the Provisional Government.

    Nicholas II abdicated the throne after a riot broke out in St. Petersburg. He was then going to send troops but the government resigned and he had to abdicate the throne.

    The Russian Civil war was The Red Army against the White Army. The Red Army was fighting for the Bolsheviks government. The White Army was the people against the Bolsheviks government. The Red Army won this war.
  • The creation of the U.S.S.R.

    The U.S.S.R. was created after the Russian Civil War. U.S.S.R. stands for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It consisted of 15 states.
  • Vladimir Lenin’s Death

    Lenin be ame ill after he got a bullet extracted from him. He became partially paralyzed and wasn't able to speak. He then got better, but later he got another stroke which made him unable to speak again. He then got another stroke and died because of it the night of the stroke.
